How to Order a Repeat Prescription

Repeat prescriptions will be issued at the doctor’s discretion and are normally for patients on long-term treatment. Requests for prescriptions can be made by telephone between 9:30am and 11:30am on our dedicated prescription line and is the only period of time in which prescriptions can be requested via telephone (prescriptions cannot be requested via this method in the afternoon). Prescriptions can also be requested in writing, via the website, or by coming in to the surgery between 8:30am and 6:00pm, Monday to Friday. We are unable to take orders or issue prescriptions at weekends, public holidays or out of normal surgery hours. Please allow two working days before collection and make allowances for weekends and public holidays. Where possible give exact drug names when ordering.

You can use the following methods to order your repeat prescription:

1. By hand – Fill in a repeat prescription request form which will be available from the reception in the surgery and place it into the box situated on the wall opposite the front entrance or alternatively, hand it in to the receptionist.
2. By post – Send in a repeat prescription request via the practice address. Please we warned of the delay using the mail and problems that may occur with this method. This method is discouraged for urgent medication requests.
3. By telephone – Please contact the dedicated prescription line Monday to Friday between 9:30am and 11:30am on 029 2073 1671 and selecting option 2.
4. Online – Please click the link box on the right hand side to order your prescription via the MyHealthOnline service. Please come in to the surgery and ask the receptionist to register if you have not already done so.
